Breastfeeding Week – art#3

I Will Help You Grow

18 x 24 mixed-media on canvas

This is the final piece of my breastfeeding/motherhood series.  I think it is my favorite, because of the purples, blues, and reds, but also because of the feeling it gives me.  A mother’s warm, safe embrace can make you feel so much better. I know when my little guys are in need of a hug, there is a special magic that happens when we cuddle.  I know they feel it by the way they close their eyes, smile and make a little sigh of gratitude. There’s nothing like it.

Have a beautiful weekend my friends!!

This is gorgeous! Any chance you’d sell prints??? I already have your “Dream” print for our new babe, but this one would be fabulous as well.

Breathtaking. As mom to a little boy, this image is just a lovely reminder of the love we share. This image will stay in my mind for a long time. Thanks for sharing!

    And the title? So great.

  4. Green Mamma says:

Yes, this is just beautiful. You’ve definitely captured that special bonding moment between mama and child; this (the emotion captured here) is how it feels for me anyway when I nurse my older child.

  5. Sharon says:

This makes me think of the contentment of snuggles even after weaning! It’s like you have shown the progression of the mother-child relationship in these three pieces! (And thanks for the nice comment on my blog!)

  6. Alexis says:

These are so nice Regina. Even after nursing ends, those warm nuzzles to the breast are so important to my little ones. I’d be interested in prints too.
