Wow, what a week. I am exhausted!
The fair was held at the Audubon Center in Phoenix. It was a gorgeous venue with the Rio Salado (Salt River) right behind us. There was guitar music and string quartets both days and the weather was a perfect 75 degrees so it was very lovely.
I did okay with sales, but with the drive to Phoenix, hotel and food, I barely broke even. I found out later that the Tempe Street Fair was happening at the same time and that might have diverted some good traffic.
Lots of pocket mirrors, small original art and all but one of my bird ornaments sold (11 total), so that was nice. I also sold my three girls right away to three different people. I am planning on making more bird ornaments this week, because they are so fun to make and are great for hanging all year long. Oh, and I have some owls in the works too!
The best part of the weekend, were all the other vendors. I am kicking myself for not taking pictures of their booths and wares. It was really fun being with so many other creatives, or what I like to call, “my people”. It certainly made the weekend better to have such a fun group of artists to work side-by-side with.
A few of us vendors did some trading too. I got some beautiful jewelry and pretty art card.
Here are all my beautiful treasures from the weekend: Bird watercolor card by Devon Meyer (check out her painting a day blog – she has such a sweet soul and beautiful spirit), necklace by Lynn & Mark Gardner (my booth neighbors who were just awesome and fun to be around). You have to check out their amazing enamel jewelry. Copper ring (goes great with my silver stack) by Wendy Goodman. Gorgeous earrings & mosaic ring by Michael LiPira
Other artists I have to mention. Carena’s Creation who makes whimsical little felted bird houses! Three Star Owl had the cutest little ceramic owl necklace whistles. Oxide Studio Designs with crazy cool metal works for your yard, garden or home and Rebecca Rush had some beautiful art journals.
Now I’m off to update my Etsy shop! Stay tuned….
