Making a new bag has been on my list since November and now, here it is mid-February and I’m finally getting to it. I decided since the sewing machine was out, that I make a whole weekend of sewing and was able to get a few more things done.
This was totally different in my head, but because I always “wing” it and very rarely use a pattern to make a bag, it sorta just morphed into it’s own thing. I never did follow directions very well. Maybe this is why I don’t like to sew very often.
The flap was a last minute addition, with a zipper pocket (!!). Never have been fond of sewing on zippers. But I really like having that extra pocket for my phone.
I really like it, I think. Getting used to the flap I guess. It does come in handy, keeping everything contained.
Almost done with a new wallet to go with my new bag. This time, I’m following a pattern (can you believe it!) Will share it with you tomorrow.
Love the design of the bag and the fabric you have used Regina. You should make one or two bags to sell!!! They are beautiful.
I never would of guessed that this is a non-patterned design. Beautiful style and fabric.
Oops! I had a grammar and spelling misfire. My post should have read: “I never would have guessed that this is a non-patterned design. What a beautiful style and fabric!”
Love the pattern and the bag:O)
