I made a few accessories for our patio clean-up. Some Moroccan style mason jars!
I saw these and was inspired to make my own. I used this tutorial to paint the insides. I had tried the Martha Stewart glass paint, but it was very light colored and you could see all the paint brush strokes. When I tried to paint another coat on, the first layer just came right off. Next time I’d love to try the pebeo paints for more permanency.
I filled the jars with little glass stones and LED tea lights.
I also painted my table set. I had bought it on Craigslist a while back and it really needed some freshening up. It’s a cute table and the bench seats have storage which is great for the kid’s toys. I gave it a fresh coat of purple paint and recovered the seats with oil cloth.
Next up, I want to repaint the little green cabinet in the background.
wow Regina, you have been busy!!!! I love your morrocan style jars – absolutely gorgeous!!! HOw exciting that you will be getting your puppy just before Christmas!!
I love the jars. You have done such a beautiful job as usual. Your talents are many. Are you in the process of developing another on-line class? Have a wonderful Christmas. Blessings to you and your family.
Those jars are gorgeous! Look like something you’d see in Pier 1. And I know what you mean about the Martha Stewart glass paint. I tried some of that and found exactly the same thing.
Loving all the rich, vibrant colors and your Moroccan-styled jars.
I’m thinking the purple orchid color you used for your table is Pantone’s 2014 color of the year. Let the color and FUN continue 🙂
love the jars 🙂
Cool jars. Crafty blessings to you!
