Piling up all around me!!

For the last 3 or 4 years I had wanted very badly to sell my things. I made stuff like crazy (sorta like I do now) but I never did get around to selling the stuff until just recently. Well, the end result is piling up all around me. Clocks made during my clock phase and OH so many other things. I’m desperately running out of room. I bought 100 hair pins in hopes of making pretty hair pins. Only a couple were made. I decided I had to have 15 wood plaques and 10 wooden mirrors… they are all piling around me. The worst part is I’ve moved this stuff twice now and it just seems crazy. CRAZY! I have to get rid of it.

Much of it will go in my etsy shop, some priced for the time, effort and product, others priced to get the heck out of my house. There will be more. I’m nowhere near done cleaning. I’m hoping to unload fabric too. I really need to clear up wall space, floor space and shelf space. That is what I’ll be doing this month. The BIG spring clean-up. In the future I’ll try to post some things first on my blog so that I can be contacted via email for cost of shipping only. I’d like to give this stuff away, but the thought of shipping costs would throw my husband into a definite hissy!

Some of the stuff I made for the art show is in my shop now (check out the sale section too). Newly painted plaques as well as clocks. I’ll be adding more every few days. Pillowcase totes, tissue holders, notecards and bird ornaments are to come, as well as all that spring-cleaning stuff I was just rambling about.

Thanks for all the suggestions for selling at craft fairs. I am definitely putting some of those ideas into action at my next attempt at a craft fair table.

Ohmygosh, *such* a relief to know I’m not the only one who does that! I have hair clips for embellishing, covered button kits for embroidering, fabric, fabric, fabric for making, wool felt, perle cotton for stitching… I think I’d better stop now. Good luck on the big clean up, and hey… I’ll “buy” some Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes of stuff off of you if you’re willing… we should talk! :0)

  2. I love that “Be Happy” plaque! So lovely!

I was packing up all my craft supplies the other day & was thinking about spring cleaning a bit… It sounds like a really good idea 🙂

I have to echo the thank goodness I’m not alone, I just got rid of a ton of stuff and feel so much better. I’m just hoping to not accumulate again it’s in my nature. Good luck with everything.

I hear you! I’m as hopeless in this matter 🙂 Every once in a while I promise to do something about all the stuff I’ve made and have laying around but then another idea hits and I just move on creating even more things.
Good luck to you, your shop looks beautiful!

This sounds so familiar!!! I just started putting things in my etsy shop too – to “destash” – one of these I’ll make things to sell again, I hope!
