I am so SUPER excited to have been selected as one of the participants in an upcoming Lark book, Pillowcase Challenge, due to come out Spring 2009!! Now, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I have a thing for pretty pillowcases. I can’t seem to get enough! I’ve counted over 30 in my current stash! Here are 9 of my favorites…
Now, if you are like me, and like to collect these, then you’ll LOVE this (if you read Craftzine blog, then you probably already know): Lark books is having a call for photos and sweet memories and they are giving away a copy of the book. Here are the details:
Share with us your favorite memory of a pillowcase past: perhaps it’s the one you couldn’t part with as a child, a cherished heirloom piece created by a loved one, a delightful patterned number that you simply had to have. If we select your written reminiscence for inclusion in the book, you’ll receive credit in the book, a free copy of the book and perhaps we’ll even feature your memory on our web site. Send your pillowcase passion to us in 200 words or less by June 7.
And for the real pillowcase collectors out there, here’s your chance to shine a spotlight on your fabulous stash and share it with the world. Send us a snapshot or two of your prettiest, most beloved pillowcases: floral, striped, polka-dotted, embroidered, whatever. We’ll then select the best of the pillowcase bunch to be shipped to us, photographed and then featured in the book. You’ll get our never-ending thanks, receive credit in the book, get your own free copy, and of course have your pillowcases returned to you. Send your stash shots to us by May 21. Yes, that soon.
To enter visit the Lark Books web site http://www.larkbooks.com and click on the Submissions page.
Totally cool, don’t you think? Hurry and get those photos and memories in so you can win a copy and be in the book!!
On another note, I will be sending a hummingbird button to the following three people:
Liz, Erin and Ellen. Ladies, please send your mailing address to regina (AT) creativekismet (DOT) com.
Thanks for the comments everyone and have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much! I am so excited to see my daughter’s face when she opens it! I have sent you an email with my info.
I saw that on Craftzine and literally the first thing I thought was – Regina should have a project in this book!! How cool. I will definitely be being it. I found the holy grail of sheets this week – the most beautiful pattern I have ever seen in my life. I’ll be feauturing it on my blog soon:)
They are all very pretty, but I LOVE the pattern and colors on the bottom left pillow case! I’ve got to keep my eye out for some like this…
