The red snowflake pillow is made from a patchwork piece I thrifted a while back. I just cut it to a square and appliqued a felt snowflake onto it. I’m in love with the patchwork and all the reds.
The other pillow I made from a lovely piece of fabric that I won from the ever so lovely Kristin. I had been saving the fabric for something special. When I glanced at it yesterday it screamed Christmas. I put in a zipper so that I could easily take it off, safely pack it and happily find it next year in my holiday boxes. I really love that mix of green, red and greens. You’ll be able to see another snipet of this fabric tomorrow. I was able to sneak a little piece into a different holiday project. More tomorrow.
I need to make some Christmas Pillows. I love the red patchwork one. So pretty. Great idea to put the zipper on it.
Help make a family very dear to my heart have a memorable Christmas. It only takes a stamp!http://www.three-peas.com/2008/12/operation-christmas-card.html
i didn’t think “christmas” with the fabric before, but now i see you are oh so right on! i love seeing you put it to use, my half still sits in full view on my work table waiting to be made into something…can’t wait to see what more you did with it! i love the snowflake idea too. xx
They look fabulous, Regina. Quick holiday crafting, that’s what everyone needs!
I love both the pillows! The old quilt makes a great cushion and the new fabric really is beautiful!
Both of those pillows are amazing…I love them!
