Just a little recap of our Halloween day and night. I spent the day making everything (rush, rush, rush) and we were out on the town by 6pm–phew! We had a great time, the kids LOVED their costumes and now we are all very tired. I am pretty sure we had the only homemade costumes, of what we saw, and there was not one other Bionicle around. Super E is pretty proud of that. Hope you had a wonderful night too.
~ Cat and Bird masks were made from instructions in the Oct ’09 issue of MS Living Magazine
~ Bionicle costumes made from fun foam and staples. Swords (or whatever they are called) made from cardboard.
~ Pumpkins & decor belong to our neighbors.
It’s so nice to read about other people who make their costumes. I get tired of seeing all those cheap, made in China plastic costumes – what ever happened to making something with what you’ve got (old fashioned ingenuity and creativity)?? This year I lucked out because my kiddos are old enough to make their own! I’m not terribly creative when it comes to sewing and costume making but my kids sure are.
I like your work and your blog
